Floë and Whale Touring Combo

  • (1)

Product Code: APT0104

If you have a touring caravan with a Whale plug and socket to bring water onboard, then this is the combo kit for your needs.

Winner of Practical Caravan’s, Caravan Accessory of the Year 2012, our Floë system is a simple way to drain down your touring caravan, making way for beautifully fresh drinking water, or in preparation for those cold winter frosts.

Floë has been tested and scientifically proven by the University of Ulster, to remove more than 99.9% of any stale water, bacteria or biofilm, leaving your system fresh and empty for every trip. (see Fresh Water Floë). It has also been proven in winter frosts, to protect the intricate components of your water system such as your pump, water filter, shower and plastic taps. (see Better Cash Floë).

With its patented technology, Floë simply fits to this Whale branded adapter. The adapter fits snugly into the side of the van and with the help of a foot pump or 12 volt tyre compressor, you will be able to purge water out of each tap and fitting, thereby knowing your system is empty.

Minutes draining down your caravan will give you peace of mind that it is protected whatever the season. All kits come with full instructions and instructional DVDs. We also offer our personal support service, so you are never stuck. This is all backed up by our No Quibble 100% MONEY BACK GUARANTEE, so you have nothing to lose. That’s our promise to you.

ADDED BONUS 1 – Use Floë to drain garden hoses and powerhoses etc for winter.

ADDED BONUS 2 – If you have a gas boiler with mains water throughout your house, you can use Floë to clean out the internal heat exchanger. There is no technical experience necessary and your boiler will be cleaned as part of a normal draindown

This will extend the life of the heat exchanger (which can cost £700-£1,500 and will eventually fail in time) and allow you turn your hot water thermostat down, which in turn will save you up to a huge 20% on your gas bill. After draining down, turn the mains water back on and run the hot taps. Brown dirty water that was clogging up your system, will be pushed out of the taps until it runs clear.

To find out more on home usages, please see our video demonstrations on our products page for holiday homes and static caravans.

ATTENTION
Please do not pressurise system to more than 15PSI and always read instructions thoroughly before use.

This product may not be suitable for caravans with onboard fresh water tanks. If a tank is present, make sure that there is a manual or electric diversion, that allows water to be drawn directly from the outside water barrel, straight to the taps. Tanks contain air vents that will leak air pressure. In this event, please use our Floë Caravan & Camper Drainage Kit – APT 0105

Please do not connect to a mains water supply as the pressure in mains water is too high. There are specific products on the market for this application, that include pressure reducing valves.

  1. Ray Roberts

My Floë kit arrived today and I have used it for the first time. Impressed – It’s very simple to operate and actually does what it says; I was amazed how much water came out of the taps, despite the system being fully drained. Ray Roberts – England

  2. Keith Crosthwaite

Just tried my Floë device on my touring caravan and removed over 300ml of water. Any amount of water could cause major problems when the temperature drops, but it is what i found suspended in the water sample that could lead to health disruptions and spoil any venture planned. The device is simple to use and only takes a few minutes for peace of mind. It does exactly what it says it does. Excellent product and highly recommended. Keith Crosthwaite – Pontefract, England

  3. Nigel Hirst

After draining down the Alde water system in my Bailey Unicorn as per the manufacturer’s instructions, and then travelling for 60 miles over a variety of roads with all the taps and the drain open, I would have expected the system to be competely empty. On connecting the Floë system, I was surprised and delighted to extract a further pint of water!. I don’t know why Floë systems are not standard with every caravan. – Manchester, England

  4. Jane Denyer

I just wanted to say how great the floe is – I have just spent a few days in my caravan and decided it would be a good idea to drain the system now the weather in turning. Having carried out my normal routine emptying the tank etc I was amazed how much water came out with the floe – it also got a lot of attention from the chatsworth wardens and fellow caravanners – expect a few orders. – Jane Denyer, Sheffield, England

  5. John Keegan

  7. Nigel Wilson

As a Caravan Engineer, I have found Floe to be an invaluable tool. I routinely carry out draindowns and servicing for touring van owners and using Floe means that I don’t have to tilt the van every direction to drain. Floe will blow water out of every nook and cranny, no matter what angle the van is at. This is very important in winter, as any trapped water will freeze and do a tremendous amount of damage. I can also make sure there are no leaks by using Floe for pressure testing. This really is an Apt Innovation !! Nigel Wilson – Wilson Caravan Services, Surrey, England

  8. Frank Peaman

I would like to commend you on your Floë product. The reason I bought it was because we were unable to drink the water from our new caravan, as we could not drain it properly due to a pipe running over the wheel arch. I used it over the weekend and was surprised at the amount of water and black bits that came out of the taps. When I put new water into the system with our aquaroll, it was perfectly clear, but more importantly it tasted normal and not like before. This will save us having to buy any more bottled water. Thank you. Frank Peaman – Coventry, England

  9. Stuart Wright

Wow what a service I did not expect such a detailed reply. A fantastic product backed up by a fantastic service. Stuart Wright. Cutnall Green, Worcs

  10. Lynn Ayling

Thank you Jason for proper ‘old fashioned’ quality after sales service! We tried to use our new floe and the air pressure would not rise above 4.5. I was really disappointed but due to the positive nature of other reviews decided to phone and ask for advice. The solution: we had pushed the yellow drain switch down too far so air was escaping…back to the van to retry…super results! How lovely to get really helpful and patient help when needed – first class! A product that really does what it says on the tin!

  11. Michael Wenn

Would just like to say how impressed l am with the drain tool for my caravan. I initially had a little problem, but emailed Floe and was answered within an hour or so. From that initial conversation the simple solution was suggested by Jason, tried and immediately worked. Superb product and customer service. Thanks again. Michael Wren

  12. Bruce Knights

Last winter I suffered frost damage in my touring caravan (split pipe in shower) which ended up costing a small fortune and a lost Easter weekend plus 6 weeks waiting for parts and repairs.
So I have invested in a floe drain down kit. Having just used it I am impressed!
I got out just under a litre of water, which could have caused a lot of damage, also the water was very scummy and would have remained in my water system till next season causing nasty tasting water which we have noticed after not using the van for a while. So this is money well spent. Bruce Knights (Norwich)
